This privacy policy explains how ＣｈｅｒｒｙｏｎｔｈｅＭｏｏｎ株式会社 (trading as Cherry on the Moon, "we", "us") collects, uses, and handles personal data when you use this website or work with us on a project.

We are based in Japan and handle personal data in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI, Act No. 57 of 2003, as amended). Where services are provided to individuals in the EU or UK, relevant provisions of the GDPR and UK GDPR also apply.

Contact inquiries: when you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to include in your message.

Project communication: during a project, we may collect your name, contact details, company name, and project-related content you share with us.

Analytics: this site uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, referrer, device type). No personal identifiers are linked to this data.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling tools.

To respond to enquiries and communicate about potential or active projects.

To deliver agreed services, issue invoices, and manage the business relationship.

To understand general site usage through anonymised analytics so we can improve the site.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Under APPI, we handle personal information for the purposes stated above within the scope you would reasonably expect when providing it.

For individuals in the EU/UK, we rely on legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, delivering services) or, where required, your consent.

You may withdraw consent or object to processing at any time by contacting us.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, and as required by law (e.g. accounting and tax records).

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are generally deleted or anonymised within 12 months.

Project-related records are retained for a reasonable period after project completion for warranty, legal, and business continuity purposes.

This website is hosted on Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA). Vercel processes request data as part of hosting. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy for details.

We use Vercel Analytics for anonymised site-usage data. No cookies are used for this purpose.

Email is handled through standard email infrastructure. Do not send sensitive personal information by email unless you have encrypted it.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other behavioural advertising tools.

As a Japan-based company working internationally, data may be processed by service providers in other countries (e.g. the United States for hosting). We use providers with appropriate data protection measures in place.

Where personal data of EU/UK residents is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on applicable transfer mechanisms.

Under APPI, you have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of your personal information we hold.

Under GDPR/UK GDPR (if applicable), you also have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics collects anonymised data without cookies.
