Frequently asked questions
Practical answers before we start.
Websites and branding can feel unnecessarily complicated. These are the questions small businesses ask us most often about rebuilding, English localization, booking systems, logos, print materials, costs, and ongoing care.
01We have a Wix site, but it is expensive and clunky to use. Can you rebuild it?
Yes. We can review what is worth keeping, rebuild the site on a cleaner and more flexible foundation, move or rewrite the useful content, preserve the domain, and redirect important old URLs. We plan the switch so the current site can remain online until the replacement is ready. After launch, you can leave Wix and its website subscription behind if it is no longer needed.
02Do we need to replace our entire website?
Not always. We first identify what is creating the biggest problem. A focused landing page, clearer English information, a better inquiry path, or technical repairs may be a smarter first step than a complete rebuild.
03Can you make our website Japanese and English?
Yes. We plan the information for both audiences rather than simply duplicating every sentence. We can work with your existing Japanese content, help structure the English visitor journey, and translate or localize the site so it reads naturally to international guests.
04Our website is already built in Japanese. Can you create only the English version?
Yes. You do not need to commission a new website. We offer standalone Japanese-to-English website translation and localization. We can translate the existing pages, rewrite passages that do not carry naturally into English, explain information international visitors may not know, and help your current developer or team publish the English version. German website localization is also available when it is useful for your audience, with native-language input from Denise; it is an optional service rather than a standard part of every website.
05Can you also help with our logo, business cards, flyers, or stickers?
Yes. We can create an individual item or develop a complete visual identity across your logo, colours, typography, business cards, flyers, brochures, menus, signage, stickers, social templates, and website. We will recommend the pieces the business will genuinely use rather than making you buy a full rebrand unnecessarily.
06Can you help us clarify the business before designing the brand or website?
Yes. We can help clarify the offer, audience, package structure, customer journey, digital tools, priorities, and launch plan before design begins. This can be included in a larger project or handled as a focused Business Foundations session. We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, licensing, or formal financial advice.
07Can you connect our booking or reservation system?
Usually. We regularly design around external booking engines, inquiry forms, availability calendars, maps, and reservation links. We will review the system before quoting and explain what can be integrated directly.
08Do you only work with tourism businesses?
Tourism is our main specialty, especially accommodation, outdoor activities, experiences, food, and destinations. We also work with independent businesses whose values and needs fit our approach.
09How much does a website cost?
Compact websites currently start from ¥90,000. Most bilingual tourism websites fall between ¥200,000 and ¥330,000, while larger sites and custom functionality are quoted individually. We will recommend a scope that fits the business and explain what can wait.
10How long does a project take?
Our average estimate is one to three weeks for a compact site and four to six weeks for a full custom website. These are planning estimates rather than fixed delivery promises: timing depends on the scope, content, feedback, photography, translation, integrations, and the speed of approvals.
11Can you host and maintain the site after launch?
Yes. Our care plans cover managed hosting, SSL, backups, security, technical updates, support, and optional content changes. You will not be left alone with a website you are afraid to touch.
12Will we own the website and our content?
Yes. Project terms set out ownership clearly. After final payment, the agreed website design, content, and project assets are yours, while third-party services, fonts, software, and licensed materials remain subject to their own terms.
13Where are you based, and can you work with us remotely?
We are based in Tomamu, Hokkaido, where we also operate Wakaranai Lodge. We work with businesses across Japan and internationally through video calls, shared documents, and a clear review process.
